Archana Kotecha – Executive Director  

Archana is the Executive Director of ReAct. Archana Kotecha is recognized as a regional expert on human trafficking and forced labour issues across Asia. A UK-qualified barrister and former corporate lawyer, Archana has over 15 years of experience advising UN agencies (IOM, ILO, and UNICEF), ASEAN bodies, Governments, businesses, civil society groups, and legal practitioners across Asia on human trafficking and forced labour issues. This includes through the development of guidelines, training and capacity building, and technical and policy analysis. In 2017, Archana was named one of the top ten innovative lawyers in Asia Pacific by the Financial Times. 

Archana is the Founder and CEO of The Remedy Project, a Hong Kong-registered social enterprise that works to combat exploitation in global supply chains. Before founding The Remedy Project, Archana served as the Head of Legal and Asia Region Director at Liberty Shared. Prior to moving to Hong Kong, Archana held roles at STOP (Trafficking UK), the Immigration Advisory Service, the Asylum and Immigration Tribunal, UNHCR (the UN refugee agency), and DLA Piper.
